Maybe once every month to every couple of months? Moreso in the growing season, less so in the winter. Just have to make sure all the plants are doing okay. Perk them up a little if they're looking sad. They're pretty hardy on their own, though, and I have neighbours who'd tell me if anyone set anything on fire or shit like that.
What do you grow down there? Mouse sent me pictures, but one was a selfie and the other was of like [...] rushes that probably aren't something farmers cultivate.
I mean maybe. Do you consider yourself unchill? Why?
That was probably some of the wild stuff. A lot (most?) of the land is native plants to support the wildlife, especially pollinators (they need all the help they can get).
As far as the food grown there, I still grow the original heirloom apples/peaches/blueberries, plus some other Zone 5-7 perennials that don't need too much TLC: various herbs, asparagus, rhubarb, ramps, Chinese yam, sunchoke, watercress, leeks, shallots, walking onions... I might be forgetting something, I dunno. My parents also used to raise free-range turkeys, but I am not dealing with turkeys.
I'm good, I was really just thinking about what you said re: wanting to be a farmer's market guy. I'm sure a lot of people here would want to buy your produce.
You seem to be well-liked, if that helps? So even if people are clocking you as an unchill overthinker, it doesn't seem to be mattering. But you strike me more as conscientious than an overthinker lmfao.
I don't think I could fit that much in my car, and it's 12 hour drive, not counting stops. Plus, I don't really need the money, what with working here and all, and people back home need the food more anyway. Maybe if the station blows up again, I'll just go do that full-time, I dunno.
I don't think I'm that Well, thank you. That's nice of you to say.
No, I just had a pie-in-the-sky mentality about you having a one-man farmer's market here lol. A small thing of organic blueberries is like $6.50 at the commissary and it comes in that annoying plastic clamshell.
I would just feel bad and give everything away anyway. Or it'd go bad on me and I'd be stuck with a pile of spoiled fruit. Either way, I don't want to participate in capitalism any more than strictly necessary.
Trying to make people dislike you will just make them like you more. Trust me on this.

Maybe I'll get chiller if all of mine falls out.

I have. I wouldn't say you're unchill [...] comparatively speaking. So like why do you think you're not chill?
dm [6/9 after receipt of ghost pepper]
[...] I just overthink things.
